hi!
Otherwise known as CoachLA! An entrepreneur, speaker, and coach dedicated to helping you create balance, confidence, and a life you love.
How it all started...
After spending almost a decade living the executive life, managing talent, managing scouts, scouting for talent, planning major Fashion and Talent events, moving city to city every two to three months, living out of two suitcases, and negotiating contracts.
I noticed that life was starting to pass me by. I had become so engrossed with work that I missed family outings, hanging out with friends...you know the normal stuff that makes you happy?
I found myself working around the clock, taking phone calls at dinner, during movies, and I lost the sense of connection to myself.
I felt like I was stuck in a life that only needed my charm or extreme negotiation skills, but what I realized was some people really needed someone to talk to.
I realized that most of the people I scouted needed more than a contract…. They needed an outlet. Someone to tell their real life concerns to and someone they could trust. So, not only was I negotiating contracts, I was their psychologist, counselor, dietitian, personal trainer, and spiritual advisor as well.
Less pressure, more support.
After some time passed, I thought to myself… I’d rather just listen and help them sort through their thoughts than negotiate a contract for someone that could use just a little more listening and advice. Next i started to feel better about talking them through normal life issues than advocating for a contract that they clearly didn’t need because mentally they were not ready for the pressure.

I was hungry to serve those who needed more...
Regardless of who I worked with before, I found myself holding free workshops after I scouted people just to assist them further.
In these workshops, we would talk about real issues going on in the entertainment industry. Like paparazzi, body image issues, fashion trends, how to interview at a go see or showcase, how to perform better, their fears, stage fright, flattering angles in front of the camera, how to apply makeup, trust, respect, love, relationships
….and the list goes on and on.
Which brings me to coaching.
I went online to google and I put in “Life performance”.... “ life counselor”... and cool google led me to Life Coaching. Now, I know what you’re thinking, Oh My Goodness here goes another life coach?….there are thousands of them...Literally… The main thing they talked about was managing your thoughts, setting realistic goals… and then I said to myself… Am I a life coach?
Since that's what I’ve been doing for quite some time now without even knowing life coaches existed.
Of course at this point I did not have credentials…. So...what do I do now? I googled Life coach schools and the first one that came up was “The Life Coach School” so i watched a couple videos, listened to a couple group coaching calls, read some amazing books and I started to feel like gravity was pulling me closer and closer to enroll.
So, I did. I signed up and I started to learn about causal coaching. This is when you get to the root of the issue and figure what is causing you discomfort.
What I learned was that most people cause themselves pain based upon what they think about their circumstances, and their thoughts create feelings, and as a result they act on that feeling alone. That was a game changer for me! It’s like I already knew this but I was so excited to know that I wasn’t the only one who thought that way.
So I found myself at a crossroads.
Do I continue scouting talent, managing talent and just let them roam about the entertainment industry without a plan or purpose, or even knowing who they are?
Should I just allow them to get eaten up by their negative thoughts or people and not take the time with them to help them work through their thoughts and set realistic goals for where they want to go?
Should I not teach them about the business side of the industry and how it really works?
At this point the main objective for the company I worked for was finding talent, signing talent, and producing events. hence… Hello, the business side! Development was the least of their concerns since talent could be replaced with in minutes notice… Literally… minutes people!
After praying and meditating on this for some time, I started to feel less and less interested in the executive side and more and more interested in the development side. I went from one workshop every month to one every week!
I had become obsessed with making people feel their way through their art form. They were learning how to show up for the audience from a place of service and therefore providing a better performance.
I would get emails, cards, and letters from people thanking me, one lady even made me a Elvis purse!
I thought to myself…. This is amazing and all I’m doing is just being me and inspiring people in the process.
I didn’t have to worry about meeting my quota, checking my bottomless email account, or negotiating contracts or dealing with different vendors and the logistics of planning the event. The only thing I had to focus on was showing up for people, listening to them, and help them strategize through life with a plan.
Today, I DARE you to fight for your dreams like your life depends on it! I dare you to commit to yourself and take the steps needed to live your dreams on purpose!
I DARE you to…...
Shine on!
